Sonnet no.38

Danielle Sainte-Marie
To be not a ſquarer againſt the creek
Iſ tricky for thoſe who wiſh nature under thumbſ
To be a leaf at reſt iſ to find without ſeek
And ruſh along whenſt the water it comeſ
When one fightſ the current they have motion
And it agitateſ ‘gainſt the body and proud mind
ſuſpire they in gaſpſ great of ſcared commotion
Whilſt otherſ ſternage by deep in recline
Obſerve when birdſ flieſt eaſy and high
For when the ſtrong windſ blow and wail do they not ſoar?
Do they fight the harſh windſ and forget need for ſky?
No! They ſail along at reſt and explore
And what of Grim Fallſ which are ſteadily advancing?
Accept it with outſtretched armſ and retire laughing!

Oh Danielle! What an abysmally horrible year was 2016 in so many ways & means!!! I am still in the Soul Sucking Vortex of FB, but mostly just to see if anyone has ... died. My love mr. ross, completely & totally dumped my ass in May of last year! Still in the WTF stage there! Your old buddy 'Mr. Malki' {Karan} continues to make enemies & then try to get them back! I did acquire a great new friend thru my continued communique with him, so that is outstanding! You would like her, I think. Her name is Carolyn. I'll probably e-mail you as Twitter is something I don't or can't go anywhere near, especially with our current disastrous Resident! I Pray to God ... alot...ha! I miss that! In March of last year, my daughter Sarah & her family sold their home in MD & moved & ready for this head smacker? No one in my ... DNA sharing Hominids are 'allowed' to give me their new address!!! The 'punishment'? She will unfriend them on FB. O.M.G. And with all of the above going on last year, my attention span is about equivalent to a 2 year old w/ OCD! So, sadly, I have not yet read the tome of the Tiny Branches yet! But, now I am totally inspired to do so! I also now have a Kindle & I see that your books are now available on Amazon, so, that'll be another treat! Oh I could go on & on & on, but so many Trolls to feed! Ha! I had heard that you were also doing a Blog, but I didn't see that in my Google search of you yesterday. I have, sort of, two of them in Blogspot, but the one I'm sort of omitted from, so, I had to open a new one. It's been awhile since I was there. I just named it Memories & Other Mysteries because I wasn't feeling creative at the moment. So, now I've found a UA-cam page I can 'blow up'! Ha, sorry, I won't, I'll use the e-mail option to tell you, in the words of the late great Paul Harvey, The Rest of the Story! O-daiji ni Sensei!

(Excuse the formatting on this-- Microsoft Word doesn't paste well into these UA-cam reply boxes.) I am very sorry to hear that your year was so tough! And, as for Ross, I have a hunch something spiritual moved inside of you in an unknown way and you discarded him, because you knew it just wasn’t right. You left him but were unknowing in your actions. If that isn’t true, then he is just an idiot and you are better off without him now. Like I always say, you have to fall in love with yourself, and then you will always have someone who won’t leave you until you’re both ready! ;-) I have had my heart broken more than a dozen times so I know how it feels…but hey, we always get better eventually! Time, and a lot of reminding yourself of all the good qualities you have. They don’t have to be huge, amazing qualities. Something as simple as ‘I mastered the perfect meatloaf,’ will suffice (hint: it’s wrapped in bacon, lol). Because look, it’s so strange to even be alive, you know? And it’s so weird to be a human being with strange laws and even stranger people all around us. It’s truly amazing we are alive and have persevered and continue to grow and learn, and seek love, and handle heartbreak, etc. It’s a gift, in so many ways, just to be able to FEEL heartbreak. Do you understand what I am saying? Life is bizarre. 2016 was a strange year for me. It was a little bit better than 2015 except that I had to bury 8 more cats. Seven were feral and we were looking after them, but old age, disease, dog bites, etc…and one was a cat that had been ours for 14 years. She just died while walking…we think it was a stroke. Her sister is still going strong though, and is rubbing her chin on my monitor right now. Anyways, the vehicle situation turned out better, and so far this year there hasn’t been too many hiccups. I am hoping for some positive things! As for your family…I just don’t know what to say. It sounds like a situation best backed off from for a while to let them miss you, and for you to work on your own heart and psyche for now. You have to be there for you and if they don’t want to do it, then you will have to do it. Be strong. Never forget the foundation of fortitude that is inside you. I do have a blog under my blog link on my website, but I am actually in the process of making a better, newer blog to replace it. It’s almost finished! And, yes, btw, I have seen your provocative ‘alots’ and I am not taking the bait! Lol!

When one of constant searching for another enigma, another colorful mystery, then meets someone else who is never complacent with answers either, then joy abounds, and connection results. It is nice to make your acquaintance. The quality videos you are doing are very important, and like mine, will never be hugely popular en-masse; rather, they will make up for their limited audiences by making deeper impacts on those they do attract. The quality of the audience will add so much more than quantity only affords.Thank you so much for your kindness. Greetings from Utah!

I love this, but the way you address yourself is very shamanic in exactly the way your father spoke on Ceremony of the Lizard live. Its very interesting. You say some highly original things in a very simple way that it becomes profound.

Thank you Steven. Yes, I have had a long-standing philosophy in my writing that works well, most of the time: if I am writing deep wisdom, I use smaller, more familiar adjectives and nouns, adverbs, etc. If I am writing of a human emotion, idea or activity that technically is thought of as fairly simple by the majority of human populace, I write of it in a very complex, abstract way. So, for me, writing a poem about pumping gas into my car (simple idea) is drawn out then into dinosaurs, fossilized fuels, ancient fish, and the stream of consciousness that always seems to happen when presented with any flowing element while in a still position. However, a poem like Tiny Branches (there are two other poems that are sequels to this one that are found in my book of the same title), takes very complex ideas, uses evocative, scenic-types of wordplay (i.e. 'rushlight'), and then delivers the ideas with a fairly simple rhyming structure so as to let the ideas take hold. I learned a long time ago that complex ideas and simple ideas are really all the same thing, but must be viewed pragmatically from the rather limited standpoint of current society, if one wishes to reach anyone with your thoughts. So, to sum up: simple ideas get full-blown poetical treatment, and complex ideas get simpler, careful hands lain upon them. Writing complex ideas in an abstract way and with too much mellifluous language just leaves people scratching their heads. There was one time, however, when I wrote such a poem as the latter because leaving one scratching their heads was precisely the point. It was meant to act as though a poetical psilocybin upon the reader's mind. I titled it, with tongue-in-cheek, Barricade. It (the poem) smoked the heads (rather than heads smoking a bunch of harmful substances), and helped people realize they just needed words to get high. And, another time I did write a loving, gushing poem in a simplistic way. This was akin to Abba music: enjoyable but not a lot of depth. I wrote that poem on commission for two people getting married. They needed to be able to understand it and not be put off by the language. They loved it so much that they read it at their wedding. I was honored. Beyond a few instances, I usually stick to my formula. I appreciate your references to my father. I believe he would have approved. Thank you. As for my speaking voice, I am still working on it. My dad had the luxury of working on his near daily, and my time is mostly taken up with writing full-time (and then some). Best Wishes, ~Danielle

Danielle Sainte-Marie you are a genius. I have been searching for this for so long. When I seen it first 3 years ago it blew me away. The way your video tells the real story, especially at the end, such pathos and epic tragedy, no one could have done it better. U took Genesis and depicted it on an emotional level. Absolutely Awesome. I'm a big fan of your's. Hope you don't mind if I share this on my facebook. I'm by the way a Luciferian so this story holds particular allure for me.

Those who are watching them don't know about the countless hours and aggravation it can be at times. I started making mine a year ago to help with deal with my dad's death and my life being thrown upside down over the last 2 1/2 years. Am working on two videos now. Eventually they will get done. Really hate it when i spend hours on the video and You Tube has the balls to block them. Now have two of them. So i will leave them on my site.
